With no regret of words unsaid

All knowing and ever loving

Was the man who could never remember

But who would NEVER forget

Steadfast and still, while still

Wavering to everyone’s will

Shoulders bearing your world

An unconditional love almost unheard of these days

Almost mythological

You could choose an example

From any day of his life

Like when I ran 50 miles from school, what did he say

You’ve caused so much trouble? No

He said, your feet must hurt

Here you go, here’s a bowl of warm salty water, don’t worry

Get some rest and we’ll talk about it tomorrow

So remember, if there’s one phrase that epitomises Dave Eagle it’s that he was an unconditional lover

Dave, dad, Pud

Return to the universe peacefully

Knowing you did yourself, and all of us proud

Leaving the legacy that

Unconditional love is the main summary of your eulogy
